Doesn't God judge us by deeds but only by faith?

Many of us have heard that God doesn't judge by deeds but only by faith. But this is heresy and now it's spreading out very quickly. Actually, this extreme was an extreme of rejection of God's deepest love to His children. This extreme started with separation of the Church from God's love to Israel.

When the Church denied eternal, forever God-promised love to His people (honest, righteous, holy, which is also comprised the wrath of God on sinful, unbelieving, apostate Israel), for centuries the Church was plunged into extremes of fear, grief, depression and despondency.

Thus, this heretical teaching was that we actually needed to believe in rigid, definite dogmas, although we would be saved exactly by deeds. And these days the time has come for the opposite extreme: God loves us not for our deeds. But by grace, for salvation of the soul, deeds are not needed at all.

Our life and our deeds indeed play a huge role in our relationship with God and then on the judgment, where our eternal lot will be defined!

You can ask, “How's that? We already have eternal life!” Yes, it revealed and came into our new hearts when we repented, grieved, when we confessed Yeshua the Messiah as our Lord and Savior, surrendered to His mercy, repented of our past, acknowledged our complete failure and inability to save ourselves.

But this is only the beginning of our salvation. According to a number of passages of the New Testament, we are working out our salvation. That is written in 1 Peter 1:17, in Philippians 2:12 (NKJV): " work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”. Romans 2: 6-8 (NKJV) says, "... Who “will render to each one according to his deeds: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath."

Not only by good deeds but also by persistence! Permanent ascension to good deeds. And God makes a promise that He will reward it.

It is important to understand that the salvation that planted into us as a seed, spreads out through our lives, our deeds, our ministry and will be fully accomplished when our earthly journey will be over. And then God will reward us.
